United States: According to President Joe Biden’s statement, he would not be supplying attacking weapons, which Israel could use to make an offensive attack on Rafah, which is the last remaining stronghold in Gaza. This is because of the safety concerns of one million civilians who are sheltering there.

What has Biden stated?

In a statement to CNN on Wednesday, Biden said that the United States was indeed committed to ensuring Israel’s security and would provide protection through Iron Dome rockets and other defensive arms, but he also remarked that if Israel penetrated Rafah, “we’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells used.”

Biden also confessed, “civilians have been killed in Gaza,” the type of heavy artillery the United States through him, the first concession that critics have been,” however, he didn’t push it ahead, as AP News reported.

He started a row that worsened what had already been revealed, which was that the US would hold artillery shells and pause sending some heavy bombs.

Once upon a time, the US used to be the major financier of Israel’s security. Such an acceleration has only been since, when on October 7, more than 1,2000 people already perished, as well as 250 were abducted by militants.

His remarks and decision of last week to pause the transportation of heavy bombs to Israel are the most meaningful signs of the widening gap between the Biden administration and Binyamin Netanyahu’s Israeli government

Biden said Wednesday that the measures adopted by Israel at the borders with Gaza don’t cross the red line just yet, but nevertheless, Israel should do much more to prevent civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip.

The shipment itself was quite large, including what was inside of it! Estimated to contain 1,800 2,000-pound bomblets and 1,700 500-pound bomb loads, per an account revealed by a senior administration official, who spoke anonymously with the White House to share this information.

The US foreign policy goals is its main driving force. there was a biggest problem associated with larger explosives how they could be employed when the city has a high population.

Biden said, “Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which they go after population centers,” and, “I made it clear that if they go into Rafah — they haven’t gone in Rafah yet — if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, that deal with that problem.”

“We’re not walking away from Israel’s security,” the Democratic president continued. “We’re walking away from Israel’s ability to wage war in those areas,” AP News reported.

The defense secretary confirmed the weapons delay

The defense secretary Lloyd Austin on Wednesday had confirmed the delay in weapons and told the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense that the United States paused “one shipment of high payload munitions.”

Austin added, “We’re going to continue to do what’s necessary to ensure that Israel has the means to defend itself,” and, “But that said, we are currently reviewing some near-term security assistance shipments in the context of unfolding events in Rafah.”
